You might remember that I wrote something about a random tune generator called Wolfram Tones. So I’ve been playing with it for a while and came up with a small guitar tune. The end results is… interesting.

Hooray for new software! Got back from Seattle and found an invite to test Propellerhead’s new software Record (video intro after the break). Seems like this will replace cubase for me as it does exactly what I use cubase for at the moment, except without all the rewiring issues and all that jazz.
It’s no secret we use Reason, but integrating and editing recorded instruments (percussion, guitar, didgeridoo, etc.) was always an issue. Not no more or so it seems. We’ll upload something once we’re done toying with it!
NO MORE REWIRE!!!! *does a happy dance*

In an attempt to catalog and/or share great online music projects, here’s a first in this series: the most-excellent Hamster Alliance!
This dude makes excellent music in a wide variety of styles, ranging from ambient to drum&bass. Be sure to check out my personal favorite “In The Cake”, which is should be part of his Portal-game-inspired album. All that aural candy can be found on THA’s music page. Well worth a listen.
As promised, here are the first few bites of synthesizer-goodness you can use with your operating-system-of-choice. Find them after ze break!

Sometimes you hear something on the radio and think “Hey, that would sound excellent in a track!”. In my case it was a Terminator Salvation commercial on the radio that inspired me to do this track. As my head got a little full at work, I fired up Reason and got to it. Check the music after the break.

Finally we’ve added some real content to this site. We’ve added 8 tracks and the best thing is that you can download each and every single one of these track fo free yo! Head on over to the Music page to see what we are talking about.
We’ll try to keep the page kinda fresh but only filled with tracks that are more or less finished. Clips and snips you will still find in these blog posts.

Cinematic, slightly dubby with a dash of fantasy. Rather eclectic.

Sneaky techno which features acidic synths and a some pretty haunting strings. Likes to creep up from behind and hit you with the bass.

A cinematic piece based on bells interwoven with a fluttering guitar and subtle percussion. Also proof that we’ve listened to the “Solaris” OST one too many times.

Experimental ambient. With vague church bells and droning synths. Also includes no beats whatsoever and that’s guaranteed!
